DEMENTED DUO, BY WODTHREADS

FORMAT
For Time (cap: 13 minutes)
*Athletes will start at the rig together - 3, 2, 1…Go - athletes proceed to rig to begin chipper and will stick together throughout the workout. Between movements, one athlete will carry a worm roughly 75 ft to get to their next movement - teams can decide which athlete will carry, and can switch at any point (worm must hit the floor entirely if a transition is made). For RX male teams, the individual carrying the worm must get the worm onto their shoulder alone (no help from teammate). All other divisions, your partner IS permitted to assist you in getting the worm to your shoulder but may not assist in any way once the carry beings - no part of the worm can be touching the floor to advance on the carries. Once athlete get to the final movement (pull-ups/muscle-ups), one athlete must be holding the worm while the other works - athletes may transition at any time but reps may NOT be completed unless worm hold standards are being met. Once work is complete, both athletes run past finish line for time.

STANDARDS
worm carry: worm carry begins when entire worm is off floor and being controlled by a single athlete - athlete may not cross start line until worm is in start position (for RX men, you must get worm to shoulder on your own - ALL OTHER TEAMS MAY AID PARTNER IN GETTING WORM INTO PLACE)
worm hold: worm hold begins when entire worm is off floor and being controlled by a single athlete - work (pull-ups/muscle-ups) may not begin until worm is in position and once worm touches floor work must stop
toes-to-bar (synchro details in parentheses): rep begins with athlete hanging from rig and feet behind vertical plane - rep is complete when both feet touch rig simultaneously between hands (for synchro, athletes must hit toes-to-bar standards, with feet touching rig in unison)
synchro straight-ish leg raises: rep begins with athletes hanging from rig and feet behind vertical plane - rep is complete when both feet (with straight-ish legs) ascend above hip crease simultaneously (both feet and both athletes) to show less than 90 degrees - remember that if you are swinging, just because your feet are above the horizontal plane does NOT mean you’ve met the standard, we will be watching the hip angle
synchro front squats: rep begins with barbell in front rack position and athletes descending to show hip crease below top of knee, rep is complete when athletes ascend to show full extension if ankles and hips - athletes must complete squats in unison
synchro db/KB hang snatches: rep begins when athletes has dumbbell/kettlebell in hang position, and reps are complete when both athletes show full extension of arm, hips and ankles simultaneously (please note that the dumbbell/kb handle must be directly overhead, knuckles to ceiling - arm to the side or in front will not meet standard)
synchro worm-facing burpees: rep begins with athlete’s chests-to-deck simultaneously and perpendicular to worm, and rep is complete when athlete ascends and two-foot hop (novice can step) to other side of worm (athletes will start and finish each rep on the same side)
bar muscle-ups: rep begins with feet behind vertical plane, and rep is complete when athlete shows full extension of arms above/slightly in front of rig (do NOT push away as you extend arms) - we don’t care if you do gliding kips or classic kips so not standards between start and finish
ring muscle-ups: rep begins with feet behind vertical plane, and rep is complete when athlete shows full extension of arms above/slightly in front of rings (do NOT push away as you extend arms)
pull-ups: rep begins with feet behind vertical plane, and rep is complete when chin ascends above the horizontal plane of the rig bar (you can complete these kipping, butterfly or strict but you MUST hit both required standards
jumping pull-ups: athlete may use both feet on box for support - rep begins with arms full extended (this may require athlete to bend knees), and rep is complete when chin ascends above horizontal plane of rig bar
SCORING
This is a single event score. Score is time (if you cap out we add .01 of a second for every rep not completed - worm drags are each worth one rep).
