EVENT FAQS

Can I fill out waiver in advance?

My teammate bailed but I found a sub (or we sold our spot to a new pair) - what do I need to do?

  • Nothing. The new participants just need to know the team name used to register - when they check in they can provide the team name, get the shirt sizes originally requested, fill out the waiver and you’re good to go. Different sized shirts will not be available.

Can I bring in food/beverages?

  • Yes, you’re welcome to bring in a cooler or bag with any necessary snacks, etc. But there will be a concession stand and some healthy options available at our retail table, so you’ll have options if you don’t bring anything at all. Please be sure to clean up after yourself. The staff at Ignit appreciate it.

How does admission work?

  • CASH ONLY (our retail vendors will accept other forms of payment, but admission is cash only): 1-day pass is $12.00, weekend pass is $20.00, kids under 10 are free.

What’s the scoop with the athlete village?

  • It’s for athletes only. Period. Do not bring your kids, extended family and/or gym buddies back there. We ask that you be respectful of the other athletes and keep that space exclusive to athlete needs. If you ignore this policy we will have staff ask any non-athletes to leave the athlete village. Also remember that leaving stuff overnight is at your own risk - we do not take ANY responsibility for lost or stolen items that are left overnight.

Can I bring my dog?

  • No. Keep your pets home. (Legit service dogs are an exception.)

Is Friday check-in / standards meeting attendance required?

  • No, but we highly recommend it. You can check-in Saturday anytime before you compete (you MUST be checked in before we’ll allow you on the floor). Saturday morning check-in gets congested so checking in Friday night is MUCH easier for everybody. Additionally, the Friday night standards meeting provides movement standards, a feel for the floor layout on each workout, opportunity to ask specific questions, and the ONLY chance you will have to play around with equipment that might not be available in the warm-up area (like worms).

Can I set up “camp” Friday night - leave stuff overnight Saturday-Sunday?

  • Sure. But we have a couple requests. If you are an Intermediate athlete, and you plan to only be there for the AM “shift” be respectful of the fact that later divisions will want space too. You don’t need 1000 square feet. Laying out a blanket or some folding chairs with a cooler is fine but keep it within reason.

When do the doors open?

  • Doors will open at 715am both days. Do not attempt to enter earlier than that - we won’t have the doors unlocked and we won’t have staff present.

What’s the media policy?

  • We pay for media. You may NOT take professional pictures for commercial use (this includes using them for commercial purposes like websites/social media, and/or selling them). If you have a big fancy camera and want to capture your family/friends for funzies, cool, but no flash photography and you will not be permitted anywhere but the standard spectator sections. If you are interested in commercial photography at the event we charge a $300 fee for a media pass (you are still not allowed on the competition floor but can use the images for commercial purposes).

My family parked in the back and it’s a long walk - can they enter through the back door?

  • Absolutely not. The primary entrance is on the East side of the building - there is ample parking, but we do get super busy. Walking is good for you, and for those who need, I suggest dropping them at the front door. If we catch people sneaking in the back door we’ll kick them out for the remainder of the weekend.

Lots of cars. What are the parking policy?

  • Park in actual parking spaces. If you park in non-parking spots or block any docks, you’ll likely be towed. Primary parking is near the main entrance on the East side, with some on the South and North ends as well. If that fills up, there are spaces on the West side (between buildings) is park at your own risk - if you block a dock that a truck needs to get in/out of, you’ll be towed. You can also park at the neighboring buildings if spots are available. Sunday will be more chill - no trucks coming in and out.

What if I disagree with my score/time?

  • Don’t be a dick. Abi, Luke and a lead judge will be available to address any concerns. Your judges are volunteers - people who committed a significant amount of time to help make the event great for you…and they are doing it for free. Judges are human, and mistakes happen. Chill. We always get people taken care of if something comes up. Having said that, if you get even remotely aggressive with your judge in any way, you’re done. For the rest of the weekend - we reserve the right to disqualify for shitty sportsmanship, so be a good human this weekend. Thanks :)
